
Dr. Girish Gupta is an outstanding Homoeopathic physician of
International fame. He received G.H.M.S. degree (Graduate in Homoeopathic
Medicine and Surgery) from State National Homoeopathic Medical College and
Hospital, Lucknow affiliated to Kanpur University in 1980 - 81.
He has a scientific bent of mind with determination to do "something
Significant" and redefine Homoeopathy on modern scientific lines. To materialize
his dream, he worked in the Department of Virology, Central Drug Research
Institute (C.D.R.I.), Lucknow as a Research Co - Investigator in a scheme
entitled "Screening of Homoeopathic Drugs in Animal and Human Viruses" sponsored
by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (C.C.R.H.), Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India from 1982-1985. Simultaneously he also
started his private practice on Oct. 2nd, 1982 in a small clinic cum residence
at Lucknow. Later the clinic was renamed as "Gaurang Clinic and Centre for
Homoeopathic Research" (GCCHR). To fulfill the main aim of this centre "To
bridge the gaps in Homoeopathy by Research and Development and bring Homoeopathy
into the scientific mainstream", Dr. Gupta built up a team of physicians,
Pathologists and Medical Mycologist and several paramedical associates in
collaboration with the scientists. Presently GCCHR has fully equipped Medical
Mycology and Pathology Laboratories, Computerized Repertorisation Section and
Training Division. GCCHR is currently engaged in CLINICAL, DIAGNOSTICS,
REPERTORISATION, TRAINING, RESEARCH and PUBLICATION in the field of Homoeopathy.
He remained Honorary Lecturer of Pathology and Bacteriology in State Mohan
Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Lucknow from 1983 - 1985. He is
Honorary Homoeopathic Medical Officer, State Bank of India. He is also
Authorized Medical Specialist in Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic
Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow. He is column writer in two Hindi News Dailies; "Rashtriya
Sahara" and "Hindustan". He was Chief Editor of "Asian Homoeopathic Journal", a
quarterly journal published by Asian Homoeopathic Medical League (AHML) from
1994 - 1998. He is also publishing an in - house newsletter entitled Jigyasa'
since 1996 for creating mass awareness about recent researches in the field of
Homoeopathy. His talks on health have been broadcast through All India Radio and
interviews have been telecast on Lucknow Doordarshan.
A direct fall out of his deep - rooted interest in research and an endeavor to
contribute Homoeopathy resulted in flood of prizes, awards and honorary degrees.

Presently he is National Vice President, Indian Chapter of Asian Homoeopathic
Medical League (AHML) since 2002 and Member of Scientific Advisory Committee of
Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare, Government of India since 2003.
His work on the role of Homoeopathic drugs in Toxicology; as inhibitors of
Tobacco Mosaic Virus; in Dentistry; on the growth of Alternaria tenuis and
Curvularia lunata, the common leaf spot pathogens of ornamental and cultivated
plants; in plant protection; against Pathogenic Micro-organisms; against animal
viruses; in Primary Complex; in Jaundice and Cases of Cerebro - vascular
accidents had already been published.
He has published his clinical and experimental research papers in different
leading Indian and Foreign journals (such as Asian Homoeopathic Journal, Acta
Clinica Scientia, National Journal of Homoeopathy. Homoeopathy for All,
Homoeopathic Heritage International, British Homoeopathic Journal and Biological
Memoirs) on the role of Homoeopathic drugs in Psoriasis, Leucoderma / Vitiligo,
Benign Hypertrophy of Prostate, Gall Bladder Diseases, Uterine fibroids, Ovarian
cysts, Fibroadenoma of breast, Oligospermia, Fungal infections of skin, hair,
nail, oral mucosa and from adhesive used in Bindi, Allergic Rhinitis, against
various fungi isolated from human patients and other various research projects
being conducted at GCCHR.
He has presented his research work on the role of Homoeopathic drugs in various
diseases in International Conferences held in France, London, Rome Australia,
Malaysia and Sri Lanka etc. He and his team is engaged in experimental research
to explore anti - mycotic potential of Homoeopathic drugs against fungal
infections by in - vitro method.
Currently Dr. Gupta is the Chief Consultant in "Gaurang Clinic and Centre for
Homoeopathic Treatment"
