Tummy fat or fat from the bottom could be used to enlarge breasts in a short span of time like an hour during lunch break, revealed by researchers in a UK study.

The therapy Celution, detailed in Chemistry and Industry Magazine, could help cancer patients who have had mastectomies.

Adipose-derived regenerative cells potentially represent a novel and natural alternative to synthetic implants for aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. This may be accomplished in an investigational procedure known as 'cell-enhanced tissue transfer.' In such a procedure, soft tissue that is to be transferred from one part of the body to another is enhanced with a patient's own adipose-derived regenerative cells. The Cytori Therapeutics says the breasts will fill out over the course of six months with this procedure.

The largest trial so far has involved 19 women in Japan. All of them had had at least partial mastectomies and all responded well to the treatment, with no major side-effects. Clinical trials are continuing, and the company hopes to introduce the therapy to Europe in early 2008.

Potential applications of the procedure include breast reconstruction, breast augmentation, dermal filler, and as a treatment for complications of tumor removal and radiation damage in breast cancer patients.
