Homeopathy (also spelled homśopathy or homoeopathy), from the Greek words homoios (similar) and pathos (suffering), is a system of alternative medicine, notable for its controversial practice of prescribing water-based solutions that do not contain chemically active ingredients. The theory of homeopathy was developed by the Saxon physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843) and first published in 1796.

An exhibition cum seminar on Homoeopathy & Hahnemann is organised at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College (NHMC), Defence Colony, by Institute for the History of Medicine (IGM), of Robert Bosch Foundation, Stuttgart, Germany in collaboration with the Dte of ISM& Homoeopathy.Honble Minister of Health, Prof. Kiran Walia has consented to be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the exhibition cum seminar on Homoeopathy & Hahnemann at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College (NHMC), Defence Colony, which is being organised by Institute for the History of Medicine (IGM), of Robert Bosch Foundation, Stuttgart, Germany in collaboration with the Dte of ISM& Homoeopathy on 10th April at 10.00 am. The distinguished Guests shall also be garlanding the statue of Dr C.S.F. Hahnemann, Founder of Homoeopathy, at his statue site i.e. A Block, Defence Colony Park, (Near NHMC). The Inaugural function shall also be attended by Ms S. Jalaja, Secretary Deptt of AYUSH, GOI, Sh. J. P. Singh, Principal Secretary (H&FW), officials from German Embassy/ Max Mueller Bhawan as well as other noted dignitaries from the realm of Homoeopathy, GDMOs (H), and Students and faculty of Homoeopathic Institutions. The Exhibition shall continue till 21st April. There shall also be a few lectures. You are invited to be a part of the Inaugural function and attending the seminar.
