Community Foods Ltd is recalling a batch of Nature?s Path ?gluten free? Organic Mesa Sunrise Flakes breakfast cereal (300g box) because the food contains high levels of gluten. This makes it unsafe for people who are intolerant to gluten - gluten allergy. The Food Standards Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

The cereal is sold through a number of UK-wide retail outlets including small specialist health shops and larger supermarket chains. People intolerant to gluten, who have bought this breakfast cereal from the affected batch, are advised not to eat it and return any affected boxes to the shop where they were bought.

Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.
